Washinton, can you please take a Mulligan?
Now that the fraud and the self interest of the global warming evangelists has been exposed.
Now that the progressives war on individual prosperity has crashed our economy.
Now that the media hysteria over mans effect on the climate has faded into embarrassed silence. Can Washington DC please take a mulligan and give us our light bulbs back?
Since the solution to the unintended consequences created by government intervention in the marketplace is always more government intervention, it will take leadership on a national level to reverse the damage caused by a plethora of ill-conceived policies.
I call on the states to lead the way out of our economic morass be challenging the federal government on every level of intrusion into in-state commerce. Please to not accept "strings attached" money like school lunch, federal highway funds, etc. until those strings are in the interest of individual and business interests of the residents and in compliance with both the state and federal constitutions. Even better, tell them to stuff the money but I digress; baby steps first.
The commerce clause of the US constitution is the hammer that the federal government uses to usurp states rights. States have started the process of challenging this by producing "in-state only" firearms. It is time to extend this strategy to the global warming fraud.
We can start small, perhaps with "in-state only" 100 watt incandescent light bulbs.

Supression of debate on man-made or anthropogenic global warming
I hope that you will look at and consider this information in the spirit in which it is intended, as open and rational debate.
This 4-part video is a powerful and easy to understand lecture on climate change. It is engaging and well worth the 20 minutes or so it will take to watch.

I am also skeptical of the dubious tactics and motives of the leaders who promote anthropogenic global warming.
If you believe in man-made climate change, let me be clear, I do not question your motives or tactics. In fact, I applaud your desire and commitment protect future generations.
Please allow me to explain why I am skeptical of the motives and tactics of Mr Gore, the IPCC and other high-level promoters. When I see attempts to suppress debate on a subject, my antenna go up and I immediately begin to wonder if the reason is because the topic in question cannot stand the light of open and honest debate. It does not need to be direct suppression like Joseph Stalin or the PRC. The modern day version is more subtle but just as damaging to the intellectual pursuit of truth.
This is a tactic used throughout history by people who wish to control other people through manipulation or force.
Some not so famous quotes for your consideration:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State. Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda
This is how dissent is being suppressed to day, though intimidation and political correctness:

I think that this quote from Mr. Gore says it all about motives. Bet he wishes he could take that back!
